There is only one queen. How much do you know about her?

In connection with the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Animation Theater, we present Aga Błaszczak's film “Queen Leokadia.” The film is a fictionalized puppet documentary that tells the story of the life and selected aspects of the work of Leokadia Serafinowicz, an outstanding theater artist and director of the Poznań Puppet and Actor Theater (then more widely known as “Marcinek”) in the years 1960-1976. This production is of particular importance to the hosts of the KONTEKSTY Festival. The film tells the story of one of the most important figures associated with the Animation Theater. It was shot at the theater's stage and features both retired and current members of the acting troupe. On screen, you will see, among others, Agata Drwięga (education specialist) and Marek Waszkiel, former director of the Animation Theater.

The film's script includes the results of research on the life and work of Leokadia Serafinowicz conducted by Agata Drwięga during her doctoral dissertation.
