Sensus is an intimate, metaphorical story about love among today's thirty-somethings, who face the challenges of building a lasting relationship. Inspired by the experiences and conversations of the millennial generation, it explores the complexity of love in a life full of sudden changes, social expectations, and the pressure of constant self-improvement. The protagonists, Ela and Filip, accompanied by 1:1 scale puppets, transport the audience into a world of complex emotions and internal struggles: from first glances, through chemical reactions, to crises and longing.
The performance lacks a uniform plot line. Full of hidden meanings and significance, through its mosaic nature and the specificity of puppet play, it constitutes a kind of puzzle that captures the viewer's attention and allows them to confront their own experiences with the questions posed by the creators.
SAKOWICZ CEMPURA THEATER The Sakowicz Cempura Theater was founded in 2024 by Natalia Sakowicz and Maciej Cempura, independent artists of the animated theater form, graduates and lecturers of the Aleksander Zelwerowicz Theater Academy in Warsaw, Białystok Branch. They have been working together as an artistic duo since 2017. They produce original theater performances for young people and adults, in which the central focus is on people, their motivations, weaknesses, fears, desires, and the expectations that the modern world places on them. In their work, the artists use many means of expression drawn from dramatic theater, puppet theater, performance art, new choreography, and contemporary music.
SENSITIVE CONTENT INFORMATION:
The performance features two actors and two puppets that are their replicas. The actors undress down to their underwear.
