Where does the road that never ends lead?
“Cargo” transports viewers into the reality of modern trade, where speed and accessibility drive economic growth, but at the same time lead to the overexploitation of natural resources, environmental pollution, and the violation of workers' rights. We follow the fate of a truck driver who, under time pressure, must deliver his cargo within an inhumanly short time frame. The night brings an unexpected encounter, and the morning – a shocking event that opens up space for reflection on moral and ethical dilemmas.
The performance raises questions about our daily habits, consumption patterns, and modes of transportation. It talks about the politics shaping the present and seeks answers on how to build a more honest and environmentally responsible future today, in the reality of the climate crisis.
Realistic models of warehouses, highways, toll stations, and truck parking lots, built on a micro scale and animated before the audience's eyes, evoke associations with stop-motion animation. Figures of people and vehicles come to life thanks to the work of animators who precisely reconstruct successive situations and events.
We encourage you to watch the series of three performances that form an impressive whole:

Tin Grabnar works at the intersection of performance and theater practices, especially as an in-depth researcher and analyst of contemporary puppetry. In 2015, he graduated from the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television in Ljubljana under the supervision of Sebastijan Horvat. He deepened his knowledge through collaboration with renowned directors such as Tomi Janežič, Tomaž Pandur, and Jernej Lorenci. This gave him a comprehensive insight into various theatrical practices and performative strategies. His works skillfully combine elements of dance, improvisation, contemporary puppetry, magic, performance, and visual art. He has received numerous national and international awards for his productions “Somewhere Else” and “Still Life,” produced by the Ljubljana Puppet Theatre. His work focuses on visually powerful and contextually deep performances that address emotional, ethical, and philosophical issues, emphasizing a sustainable lifestyle as a fundamental theme in both the content and context of the production.
