Where are you flying to?
In the era of globalization and fast-paced life, air travel has become a symbol of economic growth and freedom of movement. The performance “Connecting Flights” takes us to the airport – a crossroads of cultures and roads that reveals itself as a microcosm of the globalized world. This transitional space, where dreams of new beginnings intertwine with the reality of human relationships, is a powerful metaphor for the complexity of contemporary society.
The conventional airport becomes a place full of contradictions, invisible hierarchies, and tensions between openness and prejudice. Through intimate stories and miniature, realistic visualizations, the performance encourages us to question the value system imposed on us and to take a critical look at our place in a world that is constantly on the move.
We encourage you to watch the series of three performances that form an impressive whole:

Tin Grabnar works at the intersection of performance and theater practices, especially as an in-depth researcher and analyst of contemporary puppetry. In 2015, he graduated from the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television in Ljubljana under the supervision of Sebastijan Horvat. He deepened his knowledge through collaboration with renowned directors such as Tomi Janežič, Tomaž Pandur, and Jernej Lorenci. This gave him a comprehensive insight into various theatrical practices and performative strategies. His works skillfully combine elements of dance, improvisation, contemporary puppetry, magic, performance, and visual art. He has received numerous national and international awards for his productions “Somewhere Else” and “Still Life,” produced by the Ljubljana Puppet Theatre. His work focuses on visually powerful and contextually deep performances that address emotional, ethical, and philosophical issues, emphasizing a sustainable lifestyle as a fundamental theme in both the content and context of the production.
