KONTEKSTY X: INTO THE UNKNOWN
The tenth edition of the international theater festival for young audiences. During five very intense festival days, the Animation Theater and partner stages will present puppet theater, form, object, and dance performances by Polish and European theater companies.
We have been waiting a long time for the tenth edition of the KONTEKSTY Festival in Poznań, and our young audience has grown considerably, which is why, for the first time in its 22-year history, the festival, consisting of 15 diverse performances, is aimed at both young and adult audiences.
The future raises many questions. Sometimes it is a cause for concern, and sometimes it is an impulse for serious change. The unknown fascinates and attracts, allows for great discoveries, and fuels bold creativity. Since the dawn of time, it has been human nature not only to know, discover, and learn, but also to create and seek. The theater combines these needs and boldly asks big questions, which we hope will be particularly evident in the anniversary edition of the KONTEKSTY Festival. We will not find answers to most of these questions. We promise that as the festival days go by, the question marks will multiply rather than disappear. We will look at theater from different corners of Europe: how, why, and what it tells us, what questions it poses, and how it affects young adults.
Although we do not know what the future holds, we trust that in theater we can look towards it safely, with impunity, and without age restrictions. We invite you to join us in a leap into the UNKNOWN!
